Rex is a graduate of the University of Southern California where he studied Economics, Business Administration, and Cinema. At USC, Rex was on staff with the University’s El Rodeo Yearbook and Daily Trojan Newspaper. He photographed student life and newsworthy events including the USC Trojans 41-32 victory over the Northwestern Wildcats at the 1995 Rose Bowl and George Lucas’s dedication of the USC School of Cinematic Arts. As a darkroom technician at USC Rex learned the craft of creating museum quality, archival black and white prints. Rex interned with Motown producer Binder Entertainment in Hollywood, and Stan Chambers of the KTLA Channel 5 mobile television news crew in Los Angeles.
In June of 2016 Rex completed 18 months of coursework at Bellevue College for a Certificate in Project Management based on the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Guide. Coursework included Project Communications, Planning and Scheduling, Process Development and Improvement, Requirements Management, Developing a Work Breakdown Structure, and Earned Value. Rex is currently studying for the Project Management Professional (PMP) exam.
Additional certifications which Rex is currently considering include a variety of SalesForce.com Badges, AMA PCM Digital Marketing Certification, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), and the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification.
